Tightly fitting covers prevent dirt, leaves and other debris from accumulating in and dirtying the water. This means that you will need to do less vacuuming and water straining once the winter is over. Best of all, a cleaner pool as a result of a good winter cover will mean that you can get back to swimming faster when the warmer weather arrives.

While an outdoor swimming can certainly be dangerous, you at least have the opportunity to fence off the area so that children do not cross the threshold without being accompanied by an adult. If you have pools inside your home you must take extra precautions to ensure that children are supervised at all times and know not to enter the area without permission. It may be advisable depending on the ages of the children - to keep the indoor swimming behind locked doors. In addition, all children should be taught to swim, as well as taught comprehensive safety.

These stones are held in place by heavy duty brackets placed at predetermined intervals to accommodate the width and length of the lid material. If the material being used is thinner than 2 inches or is brick or flagstone, a pan or tray system can be used to secure the materials to. Using this type of heavy walk -on lids allows for the hidden leading edge option.
